ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Our adventure travel professionals design teen adventure tours with attention to safety and detail. We maintain small group sizes and offer a limited number of tours to provide the best experience possible.
Teens enjoy a well-rounded experience on each of our adventure tours, enjoying a variety of activities (surfing, SCUBA, backpacking, hiking, kayaking, etc) and learning about the fascinating history of the places we visit. These adventure tours emphasize leadership and problem solving skills. Participants leave our programs with greater confidence, a greater sense of responsibility and self-discipline, and a strong feeling of independence.
Our leaders have experience running travel programs for high school students in the places we visit. They are well versed in the natural and human history of the area, and eager to share their knowledge with participants. When our leaders aren’t leading trips for The Wild Traveler, they lead trips for schools and family groups across the country. They love what they do.
AN ENGAGING AND ACTIVE ADVENTURE
Each day is fully scheduled with activities (day-to-day itineraries can be viewed on specific trip pages). Participants are active and engaged from the minute they land at their destination airport until they leave. Although our days are tightly scheduled, there is time allotted for additional activities chosen by the group: Anything from exploring an ancient Hawaiian temple, shopping in one of the quirky towns we pass, a sunset beach barbecue, hiking to the base of nearby waterfalls, or a snorkeling session with sea turtles – the list goes on!
SMALL GROUPS AND PERSONAL ATTENTION
Wild Traveler teen adventure tours never have more than 12 participants. We never have less than 1 leader to 6 participants. Our leaders are role models – intelligent, enthusiastic, fun, and safety aware – click to learn more about Our Leaders. Wild Traveler teen adventure tours are designed with the beginner traveler in mind. Trip leaders debrief participants at the end of each activity and again at the end of each day to ensure participants are comfortable and getting the most out of their adventure experience.
Wild Traveler staff members volunteer on service projects during the summer and throughout the rest of the year. The Wild Traveler also donates 10% of profits to organizations that work tirelessly to restore, conserve, and preserve these wonderful places in which we travel( e.g. The Waipa Foundation, Project Aware, Channel Islands Restoration, etc). SATISFIED PARENTS; SATISFIED PARTICIPANTS
The Wild Traveler pays attention to the details. 100% of last summer’s parents and participants all said that we either met or exceeded their expectations. You are welcome to speak directly to parents who sent their kids with us last summer. You’ll be happily surprised with all that we offer.
The Wild Traveler provides everything you need for our teen adventure travel programs. Ground transportation, inter-island flights, first aid/ CPR certified leaders, food, instruction, equipment, all activities, SCUBA certification course, group gear, etc! It’s all included! Participants are responsible for bringing items listed on our pack list.
